Celebrating Menstrual Hygiene Month, i2u Social Foundation launched a month-long fundraising initiative to promote sustainable menstrual health solutions. The initiative focused on distributing menstrual cups to encourage environmentally friendly menstrual care.

Further strengthening its mission, i2u supported Hitachi in its EmpowHer Hygiene initiative, conducted on 25th May 2024, in collaboration with the Spread Happiness Foundation as the NGO partner. This joint effort, backed by individual donors and Hitachi Lift India, successfully distributed essential menstrual hygiene products to those in need.

Through these combined efforts during Menstrual Hygiene Month, i2u provided 200 individuals with sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions with the support of Peesafe. Pranav Menon, Director of i2u Social Foundation, highlighted the significance of these initiatives, stating, "At India Is Us, we are dedicated to promoting menstrual hygiene and supporting women's health through such initiatives. We believe in creating sustainable solutions and continuing our efforts in this vital area."

These initiatives contribute to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 by ensuring access to hygienic menstrual options. Additionally, promoting the use of menstrual cups aligns with SDG 13. This is particularly relevant as we approach Environment Month in June, fostering climate action and environmental sustainability by reducing reliance on disposable products.
