About the NGO

Antharal Charitable Foundation is the realization of a long-cherished dream of Sri. Late V.S. Vijayaraghavan, an educationist and a philanthropist, and an advocate along with a group of young corporate professionals, felt that it was their social responsibility and to create an opportunity to give back to our society in a way related to education, health and awareness of human rights and duties. A dedicated group of like-minded people led by the Founder joined hands in January 2007 to provide charitable assistance to the needy. The significance of our Foundation' s name Antharal gives you practicality, realism, reliability, discipline, sincerity and experience. An ad hoc committee was formed to identify the mission of the Foundation and its potential activities. The next few months were devoted to establishing the legal authority for the Foundation. It was incorporated on 11-June-2007. Thus, was formed

Mission

Antharal Charitable Foundation was founded to support and care for the less privileged sections of the society, create opportunities and strive towards a more equitable and sustainable society.

This progression is central to our belief of serving the underserved. Empathy for those denied with a right based approach. They must get the education so that they get economically empowered and are thus enabled to live a life of dignity and self-reliance.

These are the core beliefs of Antharal Charitable Foundation. These values guide our actions and decisions as we work towards fulfilling our mission. We are dedicated to helping generations of children and the elderly have a better life by nurturing lasting relationships with the communities in which we are rooted, with support from our co-workers and donors.
