Bengaluru, KarnatakaYou don't have to be a child to enjoy painting on walls, but it does take a steady hand and a touch of the artistic, as HLI volunteers at Samarthanam showed. 30 October was a bright and colourful day in every sense of the word as employees of Hitachi Lift India (HLI) and Samarthanam school kids came together in an outreach event implemented by i2u Social Foundation. The day saw HLI employees and the children of Samarthanam give the Samarthanam School a fresh new look. A musical performance by the children rounded things off nicely. The evening ended on an appreciative note for all, as mementoes were presented to participants to keep the memory of the day fresh in their hearts.

Earlier this month, i2u and Dr Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital conducted a free eye screening camp for kids at Deepalaya Learning Center. More than 80+ kids were screened out of which a few were diagnosed with refractive error. i2u gifted them spectacles to help correct their vision. Since it is Christmas time, a jovial Santa distributed specs among kids along with other gifts.
