About the NGO

Paoolwaat foundation is a section 25 company (NGO) formed in 2013 by working professionals from Pune city with a zeal for working in the rural area for self-sustainable GRAM-VIKAS. Currently Paoolwaat foundation has developed its first project site in Village Pasali, Tahsil &ndash Velha, District Pune. We did a grass root survey and small assignments in Pasali and around villages for 3 years. Following is a list of our findings which made us work on those areas at grass root level

• Only 1 high school for 20-22 Villages/Vastis
• Most of the students need to walk around 10 - 12 KM daily for school
• No proper public transport facilities available/affordable
• School dropout rate is high during standards 8th to 10th Std.
• 90 of the youth at the age of 14 - 16, migrate to city and do struggle for day to day life
• No Proper guidance for livelihood
• No income sources at the village level known to the Villagers

Considering above mentioned issues and problems we have started Paoolwaat Foundation.

Paoolwaat Foundation' s aim is to stop the migration of rural youth to urban by following means -

• Make Easy and Nearby access to school for 8th to 10th Boys by providing Vastigruh
• Improve the standard of education in rural areas and Provide the students with best possible facilities as well as make use of technology for students to better their education as well as career
• Creating small businesses (Kutirudyog) considering local raw material and skills.
• Not only to increase the economical level of rural but also make it self-sustainable
• To culture the value system which will help the villagers to work on common goals

In short &ndash Self sustainable GRAMVIKAS
