About the NGO

Sambhawna Natya Manch (SNM) is a all India level professional Theatre and street-playgroup. SNM is a movement for bringing in social change in various fields including disastermanagement, conflict resolution, health, drinking water, environment sanitation, education, HIV & AIDS,child protection, and other social issues affecting the community. SambhawnaArt and culture began in 1992 with 15 young people from the theatre background havingcommitment and concern to bring social change through role plays. Since 2001 Sambhawna Natya Manch continue to work with renowned NGOs, Government agencies/departments, corporate firms, etc.

Working experience

Over past 24 years SNM has been associated with various Government andNon-Governmental agencies and its programs to bring about awareness on different issuesthrough street/role plays. Street/role plays were uniquely developed by the Movement ondifferent issues like on literacy, on dowry system, on family planning and immunization, onthe right age of marriage and superstitious beliefs, lottery and alcoholism, on environment, HIV & AIDS, on gender issues and women empowerment, on newly wedded couple, peaceand conflict resolution and Disaster Management. The Movement has beenactivelyinvolved in carry out awareness programs through media communication, especiallythrough TV channels like Star Plus, BBC World and DD Metro. To achieve social reformsforthe betterment of common people' s lives, Sambhawna art and culture strives to networkwith like minded agencies.
