Hitachi Lift India Partners with i2u (India is Us) and Ek Koshish NGO Distributes 10,000 Sanitary Pads

In a concerted effort to contribute to the welfare of women in the community, Hitachi Lift India (HLI) collaborated with India is us (i2u) Social Foundation and their NGO partner Ek-Koshish Special School to distribute 10,000 PeeSafe sanitary pads to beneficiaries on Friday, March 22, 2024. This initiative, which aligns with HLI’s commitment to social upliftment, aimed to address menstrual
hygiene needs and empower women in underserved areas.
The event, held at the Park behind D Block, Anganwadi Old Seema Puri, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of HLI employees who volunteered to support the cause. The sanitary pads were distributed among women from marginalized backgrounds, providing them with essential menstrual hygiene products.
The event commenced with a workshop led by an expert on menstrual hygiene, who elucidated on the significance and associated challenges of menstrual hygiene management. Participants were invited to share their lifetime experiences and hurdles they may have encountered in managing
menstrual hygiene. Hitachi personnel also shared their personal experiences and insights. The session culminated with the pad distribution drive.
The event aimed to educate, facilitate sharing, and offer practical support to empower women, while raising awareness about menstrual hygiene.
The collaborative efforts between Hitachi Lift India Pvt. Ltd., Ek-Koshish Special School, and India Is Us, go a long way towards creating a lasting impact and promoting positive change in menstrual hygiene practices.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Mridul, Founder EK-KOSHISH -SPECIAL SCHOOL NGO, expressed gratitude for the partnership with HLI, stating, “We are immensely thankful to Hitachi Lift India for their generous contribution towards improving menstrual hygiene among women. This collaboration signifies the importance of collective efforts in addressing social issues and fostering positive change in our communities.
Mr. H.N. Purohit- Director along with Mr. Masaya Sakakibara- Managing Director of Hitachi Lift India Pvt. Ltd., emphasized the significance of menstrual hygiene highlighting the quality and reliability of PeeSafe pads for women’s health and well-being.
