A Winning Partnership: NTPC and Sports Coaching Foundation Join Forces for a Better Tomorrow

Mr. Kammela Saibaba is a visionary who founded the Sports Coaching Foundation with a mission to have sports as a medium to educate and train the underprivileged. His consistency and perseverance have enabled him to go on the journey for 34 years now. The goal is to spread the culture of sports to everyone, especially to the people to whom indulging in sports is a privilege. His contributions to this field are an inspiration to many and are nothing less than extraordinary, for the sacrifices made to achieve his dream and follow his passion are exemplary.

NTPC’s sporting gesture to sports coaching foundation

NTPC, a maharatna government of India company in the power sector, donated a portable dressing room to the sports coaching foundation. The event was organized by the Sports Coaching Foundation on the 7^th of November. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Praveen Kumar IAS, former special chief secretary. Mr. Kumar, an avid tennis player, hails from a distinguished family with eleven IAS officers, many of whom are also sportsmen and sportswomen who have represented their universities and civil services in various sports.

Representing NTPC, Mr Panigrahi, general manager (HR and CSR), Mr Sethi, deputy GM, and Ms. Priyanka, HR manager, were in attendance. Speaking at the event, Mr. Panigrahi expressed his gratitude to the government and GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) for supporting such a unique NGO like the Sports Coaching Foundation. He praised Mr. K. Saibaba, a former Ranji cricketer and recipient of the President of India’s award, for his dedication in running the foundation.
